New Salem

Peace apologizes for not posting as she hasn’t had internet access, but she wanted to let everyone know that she’s doing fine.  She was at a catholic monastery two days ago and tonight she is at a non-profit organic farm called Seeds of Solidarity.  Tomorrow she will be going to the New England Peace Pagoda in Levrette, MA.

I had to take a double-take driving in Amherst, MA. Having read the original book “Peace Pilgrim” – I knew what that original Peace Plgrim tunic looked like, but I thought it had found rest in 1981… I did not know anyone was taking up the walk for Peace.

I am so glad to have met you today and wish you all the best…in a way that is a selfish wish, because the better your walk, the better the world I live in too!

I submitted my email in the reply log, so I would love to hear how you are doing – maybe I will find some way to contribute to your walk as you could not accept financial offerrings…

You are an inspiration to me, and I thank you for that. Sam

Walking for Peace

Starting June 1st, I’ll be walking at least 1,000 miles for peace. I will walk until given shelter and fast until given food. The way I understand the word, “peace” means internal peace, interpersonal peace, and peace on a national and international level. To get a little more specific, it also means that a young woman should be able to take a walk alone without fearing for her safety. Unfortunately, that isn’t the case right now. I’d like to help improve that situation.
